About Empire's ChildrenEmpire's Children was made by Wall to Wall, the same production company that pioneered the successful genealogy show 'Who Do You Think You Are?', and will air from 2 July to 6 August on Channel 4. In conjunction with the series, More4 will also broadcast 'The British Empire Strikes Back', a three part series exploring the celebrities' views of Britain today in light of their journeys into their families' imperial pasts.
The Empire's Children website was made by Illumina Digital, the BAFTA award winning multimedia company behind such cross-media projects as 'Stagework', 'Breaking the News' and 'Teachers' TV'. The site allows viewers to explore the end of the British Empire through personal stories and the histories of various Empire countries, as well as providing detailed research guides to enable viewers to trace and tell their own Empire stories.
